Sophie and Drew create talismans for both everyday wear and special occasions, imbued with meaning and shrouded in divine energy. Their passion for design and quality set their creations apart and their ethos for inclusivity is just the cherry on top.
Tell us about Scarlet in Chains:
We custom make handmade Stainless Steel Jewellery (necklaces, harnesses, belts, bracelets, anklets, earrings and other accessories too) using UK sourced components, most of which are custom made just for us.
All our chain in made from Grade 304 Stainless Steel so it’s hypoallergenic and will last for years and years, hence we offer resizing of all items for the lifetime as they will last that long!
How did Scarlet in Chains begin?
We couldn’t find what we were looking for in jewellery, something that was strong, well made and will last; so, we began making our own items. These became popular as we discovered we weren’t on our own in wanting something that would last for years. It’s also really nice to be able to honour the female chain makers from the blackcountry (from where we hail) by continuing their traditions.
What’s the process of working with you?
Either go to our website where you can tell us what size you would like any of our items made, or contact us via any of our social media platforms or by email if you would like a custom design.
How soon do people need to book you?
It depends on the complexity of the item and if we need to source any components or have components custom made. Usually anywhere between 2 weeks and 1 month would cover virtually all designs.
What’s your proudest achievement?
We have styled bands in award winning music videos; signed and unsigned, and made items that are worn by bands on stage. That is an amazing feeling; to see them being enjoyed and looking fantastic.
Anything else you would like to include?
We are friendsly to all body types and abilities as we make everything custom. We always do our best to make sure that if there are any special requirements, we have you covered.
