The Gothic Luxe Wedding Fair; your gateway to creating the ultimate dark wedding
A few short weeks ago we had the pleasure of hosting the incredible Gothic Luxe Wedding Fair at the Left Bank in Leeds, where nearly 40 amazing dark wedding suppliers transformed the incredible deconsecrated church into a Gothic wedding wonderland.
The Gothic Luxe wedding fair was an absolute visual feast, showcasing the creativity and talent of the dark wedding suppliers from all over the UK and even overseas! From gothic-inspired bridal gowns, chocolate curios in the shape of jaw bones, celestial stationery and incredibly moody floral arrangements, to spectacular headpieces, dreamy music filtering through the air from our musicians and DJ’s, and amazing photographers and videographers to capture your day with the most perfect and authentic eye. Every corner of Left Bank exuded an air of mystery and romance, and the ambiance was so totally immersive there were several couples that came to both days and so many that arrived when the doors opened and lingered until the doors closed.
The fair not only showcased stunning products and services, but it also created an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared passion. Visitors were able to interact with the suppliers, gain inspiration, and discuss their vision for their own weddings. The sense of community that permeated the weekend added an extra layer of warmth (and as an organiser a sense of pride too!).
For couples who are drawn to the darker, more dramatic side of weddings, the Gothic Luxe fair was a goldmine of ideas and resources. And for those of us wedding suppliers who live on the darker side of life, it’s one of the only spaces we can bring our wildest visions to life and know we don’t have to soften our ideas.
We had record numbers of visitors through the door and after the feedback of our first year created double the number of goody bags. We only have 12 of the 100 goody bags left over, so if you weren’t able to make it to the show you can grab yourself one of the remaining treats here:
Planning and organising The Gothic Luxe Wedding Fair has been a labour of love for sure; the time demand, stress and sleepless night (oh my word the crazy dreams!) had each of us at different points wondering whether it is worth it… but you know what? It absolutely is!!!
To see all the incredible businesses, set up and settled and eager to meet people; to see the pictures of the queues outside the building at different points over the weekend, to hear gasps as people entre the room and to see people deep in conversation and visibly excited by what they see, was incredible! To hear about the many awesome conversations people had and already have vendors try to book onto the next event without a date or location is absolutely mind blowing!
The dark forces behind the Gothic Luxe wedding fair are me (Charlotte) from Legend Bridal, Vicky from Vicky Dubois Photography, and Jane from Maddison Rocks Floral. With the support of our wonderful friends and family of course.
As we reflect on the incredible turnout and the overwhelming positive feedback from both suppliers and visitors, we are filled with a sense of pride and gratitude. The Gothic Luxe wedding fair was not just a showcase of products; it was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the beauty of ALL love stories. We are immensely grateful to everyone who played a part in making this event a resounding success, the unwavering support from the community, and the collective enthusiasm of passionate individuals who made this event a true celebration of the Gothic aesthetic.
We are already making plans for our next event, in a new venue, in a new town and it will be THIS YEAR!
