An Elegant Elopement at Chateau Bas

In the quiet embrace of the fading sunlight, amidst the ancient ruins of Chateau Bas, a tale of dark elegance unfolded. Provence photographer Luxea Photographie weaved magic through their lens, capturing moments of beauty and intimacy in a setting steeped in history and mystery.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue over the crumbling stones of Chateau Bas, the couple stood, their silhouettes a dance of shadows and light. The bride, a vision of contrast with heavily tattooed skin and long, flowing golden hair, exuded a sense of fierce grace in her all-black attire. Beside her, the groom, his own locks bathed in the warm glow of the evening, mirrored her elegance in his dark ensemble.

Rebecca of Luxea Photographie shared her idea behind the shoot: “I imagined it a few months ago, wanting to create something unique, which broke the codes of traditional weddings. Far from white princess dresses, customs and everything we impose on ourselves to please our families; a personal ceremony revisiting symbolic rituals and which respects our spirituality and ideas, but also with an aesthetic that I love, dark, intimate, but with this light that I adore. ”

”I created images that combine both my personal tastes and my photographic style. For this session, I also wanted to take responsibility for the organization and thus be in the role of artistic directior! And despite some bouts of stress, I was able to surround myself with such a talented, involved and adorable team.

I'm really happy with the photos taken together! I hope that they will make future couples, whether they are atypical, rock, tattooed, fun, cool or whatever, want to be them and make this day a special day that reflects them.”

A bouquet of rich, red blooms added a vibrant pop of colour to the scene, a stark contrast to the monochromatic palette of blacks and golds. Black celestial stationery, with its intricate designs and celestial motifs, set the tone for the elopement, adding a touch of mystique and magic to the proceedings. In a nod to the celestial theme, the alternative wedding ring of moonstone and moon, their iridescent surfaces catching the last rays of daylight like fragments of the night sky. These subtle touches added a layer of ethereal beauty. And in keeping with the theme of natural elegance, the bride's hair and makeup were simple yet striking.

Against this backdrop of ancient grandeur, Luxea Photographie immortalized the couple in a series of breathtaking shots, each frame a testament to the depth of their connection and the beauty of their individuality. In the soft embrace of the golden hour, love found its voice in the quiet whispers of the ruins of Chateau Bas, where history whispered through the stones and the sun painted the sky in hues of gold.
