The Orchard at Woodend

Needle Sculpted Woodland Inspired Mushroom Keepsake Wedding Wreaths and Table Centres

Living close to the land is the inspiration for my creative work. I make keepsake wreaths from Ivy and honeysuckle vines which I gather and bind and wait a full season to dry. I combine the natural treasures I find on the land with needle sculpted leaves and mushrooms inspired by what I see season by season.

These woodland inspired creations work beautifully as centrepieces for your wedding tables amidst candles and greenery. The keepsake wreaths mounted as the centre of your seating plan and afterwards to hang in your home forever reminding you of your memorable day.

Ceremonies:

In a world that strives to embrace diversity. let me help you to craft the wedding ceremony that has true relevance and meaning for you. A ceremony that reflects who you are and what you are about. I am at home with unique and extraordinary. I have 5 acres of rewilded land for a micro woodland ceremony under the canopy of our old oak trees. Whether you are looking for a darkly romantic gothic ceremony or spell binding witchery gathering, I could be your woman.

About The Orchard at Woodend

We’ve always had a vision of having a piece of land, to live a sustainable life and to steward according to the laws of nature. For us it’s about ecology and balance and getting back to a simpler way of life.

Nearly five years ago, we took the plunge, sold our house and bought a forgotten and neglected 5-acre plot of land.

Through blood, sweat and tears and a whole lot of love, we’ve cleared it, rewilded it and learned through experience about ecology and sustainability. We’ve learned about wild food, the rhythm of the yearly cycle, and how the land lives and breathes through the seasons.

My needle sculpted keepsake wreathes and mushroom pieces are inspired by the mushrooms and leaves that emerge through the seasons here at The Orchard at Wood End. The land gives up gifts of ivy and honeysuckle vines, fallen wood and foraged treasures on which my felt work is framed. This creative process takes me to a quiet, reflective space, which gives each created piece meaning.

This I where the streams of my life converge. I have over 30 years’ experience as a counsellor, being alongside people supporting them as they create unique rituals for letting go, moving though change and embracing the new. It seemed a natural progression, especially in these times of rapid change for those seeking something more reflective of them, to train as a family celebrant.

My passion is to help couples craft their wedding ceremonies with unique authenticity as they go through such a significant threshold to share a life with each other.

I offer my service, at The Orchard at Wood End, for those seeking our particular something different for their special day.
